I know this is a Fei and Yoh fic, but I really really love how you wrote Takaba in this, Maria. I love his take-charge attitude, the way he calls Fei "sweetie" and "crossy". Especially loved the scene when he kinda felt like a parent giving his child away. And that he kissed Yoh on the head! Love that he was holding Asami by a leash. That fucking rocked. Your portrayal of Takaba is one of the best I've ever read.

I really love how you wrote Yoh, too. Equal in standing with Misha and Asami, immensely protective of his lover, intimidating as fuck. That's the way Yoh should be portrayed, and you did a damn fine job.

I'm not big on mpreg fics, but yours was original, interesting, and addictive. I read it all in one sitting. Great work, Maria! :)

Yeah, for someone mainly obsessed with Fei, I love Aki a lot. I get all impatient if he's drawn as really stupid or naive, the perpetual victim. Not at all fair to him! He's such a saucy and cheeky one. And he comes across as so much stronger than brave tragic Fei. Fei's really eating out of Aki's hand at the end of VF 4, isn't he? And that's soso cute *swoon* (some Fei fans would kill me for that, though, @_@)

As for Yoh - the prompt already suggested equality ("powerful warleader"), but it gave me real kick to "promote" him even ahead of Asami hehe.

"mpreg" - if anyone had told me I'd be writing that someday - I would have challenged them to a duel involving deadly (or at the very least compulsively contraceptive) weapons. (Uh...oops...)

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you! See, here's the thing : I'm not a fan of Takaba or the Asami x Takaba pairing at all (though I do like Asami), but I've always been of the opinion that Takaba is stronger than Fei Long.

I like Fei, he's pretty much my favorite character, but he's kinda weak in many aspects of his life. I really admire Takaba's strength, though. And Shelly has been helping me understand his character better, so although I'm not a huge fan, I like him a lot more now.

I'm just really in love with the way you wrote him in your fic, Maria. I thought it was freakin' genius. I definitely don't see him as a victim. I think he's a really strong person with a big heart and endless wells of compassion. And I want to see him turn the tables on everyone and fuck their brains out instead of always having to bottom or get raped. Haha.

Damn, I wanna see more of Yoh and Misha in the canon though. And I want Sensei to bring Yuri back!
