The downside to making myself post every day is that I don't really have anything interesting to say. That's kind of why I went so long without posting, before. I re-read Contact recently. Good book, though it has made me prone to spouting off about codes humanity may be too dumb to understand. Fortunately my coworkers find this amusing.

I'm continuing to sing a lot of Elton John, including the aforementioned Your Song. The most recent addition to my karaoke list is Empty Garden, which I hadn't previously realized was about John Lennon.

The Wise Man's Fear, Book Two of the Kingkiller Chronicle. I've only been waiting for it to come out for FOUR YEARS.

It did not disappoint. :)

My dad died Superbowl Sunday. Waiting for insurance money to get Sallie Mae of my back.
