Oh, this is a great exploration of these two and the different ways they have of looking at the world and dealing with grief!

I really like the beginning statement, about how Bruce's anger might seem uncontrolled from the outside (that's the point, villains have to think he might lose control) but it's actually so focused.

“In all honesty, if you’re looking for... for coping mechanisms, you’ve probably come to the wrong person.”

Ha! Bruce's wry self-awareness here is just perfect, I always like a Batman who can see his weak spots, explain them, compensate for them. And the "rueful appreciation" at the end--well, I think the people Batman helps and the villains Superman stops would probably agree that it doesn't matter whether the hero is there to help one or hurt the other, it works out about the same (okay, the thugs are probably in more pain when Batman is through with them...) :)

Oh, you might want to check the link to the comm crossposts, it seems a bit off and I'd hate to have people miss out on this.
