Happy!deathfic, please. All the remaining Grey Wardens just happen to run into each other in the Deep Roads and make their last stand together. I'd like to see Anders, a Hawke sibling, Alistair, the Warden maybe and everyone else you can think of.

(Hope this meets expectations! Author!anon is a bit new here but liked this idea and wanted to give it a try.)
Archers are not meant to be solo fighters, Nathaniel thought as he drew his daggers across the throat of another Hurlock. Spinning, he sliced open the belly of one that had tried to take advantage of his distraction. Seeing the cavern was clear, he stopped to catch his breath, flicking the foul, dark blood from his blades

Since they’d all lost sense of time in the Deep Roads, the group agreed to declare it night and make camp to get acquainted - or re-acquainted - with the new additions. Bethany quickly got a fire started and began assembling a meal from supplies in various people’s packs and a deepstalker Anders had killed earlier. Deepstalkers weren’t the most tender meat Nathaniel had ever eaten, but they were far better than the alternatives down here

Not OP here, but I loved this. And even though it ended perfectly, I... kind of want to read more.
(Actually, to be honest, I definitely want to read more. The havoc a group of Wardens as powerful as those could wreak upon the darkspawn! Maker, it would be awesome. Anyway, just a thought, if you've a mind to continue. :D)

*Author!anon peers suspiciously.* Are you my beta, anon? You sound like my beta.
I'm not sure if there's more to this in my head. I thought about giving some "blaze of glory" moments, but I wasn't sure I could keep it happy as requested. On the other hand, these guys taking down darkspawn nests does have pretty awesome potential. I'll see what percolates through my brain.

Author!anon again. I have now confirmed that the "blaze of glory" moments in my head are not coming out happy. I've written Alistair's, and I'm willing to share if anyone would like to read it, but the tone's going to be majorly different.
I'll let the rest of this keep knocking around my head and see if anything else shows up.

Not-your-beta from above would love to read it! Hmm, would you prefer it if I posted a separate prompt for it (and any other moments you may wish to share)? This way folks who'd prefer to end with the happy bits can stay happy, and the rest of us angst-muffins can follow on elsewhere?

A!a: That sounds like a great compromise, not-beta :) Let me know where the prompt is, and I'll put this and any other not-happy scenes that come from it there.

A!a: Last Wish now posted at above link. Thanks muchly to not-beta!anon for giving me a place to share it where I don't have to feel bad about trying to make anons cry. Also for virtual cookies, nom nom nom.
And because this set-up won't stop invading my brain... (Seriously, OP, you're a genius!) I'm now working on a third in this set. Since I seem to have a thing going with the names, next up will be an Oghren-centric piece called Last Call.

A happy death!fic indeed. This passerby!anon wasn't expecting to be grinning like mad while reading a fill to this prompt, but she couldn't help herself. Very nice work, Auth!Anon! Thank you for sharing :)
