Back to work today! Word came in last night that there was a dragon sighting a few towns down the coast, so this morning we left to investigate. Normally we do not bestir ourselves, but it sounded possible that the creature was hostile ( Read more... )

Well, when the mating dragons are systematically devouring all the livestock in their town, the desire to stop them does make sense. Stupid, but understandable.

I would think replacing the livestock in the dragon's interest would be an obviously undesirable course of action, regardless of the damages to their livelihood. They're quite lucky that you and your people were there.

And even luckier for you that you were able to film it. Such events aren't common in generally accessible areas?

I think they realized that once the male demolished a shed hiding a sheep he wanted as though it were nothing.

It's more that they are uncommon at all. There are not a lot of dragons in the world, and generally when we hear about a mating frenzy, it's as damage reports in the news.
