Cimorene is Not Happy. There are really no words for how Not Happy Cimorene is at present, and she really wants to be far away from all the Arthurians. Even Percy, much as she loves him, will probably just try to ease her to calmness, and she doesn't want easing right now

Typist: Have Agravaine and Cimorene met?? I'm so failing at who has met who. ^_^;; Because he has not yet found out about Mordred's being dead, and I figure if he hasn't met her yet, it would be just as well to kill two birds with one, ahem, stone, right? and if he has, then, at least if he hears Mordred's dead it may distract him from hitting on an engaged girl.

"You won't get the chance," he says briefly. "There's too many. How did he die? Who found him? Why don't you know who did it? When can I hunt him down?"

"I don't know" she says, sharply. "He was just lying there in the middle of the floor with a hole ripped through him. Ragnelle and Clar were fussing over it, but there was nothing to be done about it, by then." She'd seen Niko, but he wasn't someone she knew, and she'd not really noted him.

That makes him relax -- a little. "If Ragnelle and Clarissant have got at him already, he'll be on his feet soon enough. If anyone can bring a man back from the dead, it's them. ...or mother. Damn, I suppose someone ought to tell the others."

She nods, tersely. "I suppose so." She throws another rock.

"...damn," he repeats, and kicks a tuft of grass for good measure. "Bloody hell." He seems to have given up thinking of her as a lady, anyway. "If you find out who it was, tell me," he says briefly. "I've got to go tell - Gawain, I guess. And Gareth, much good he'll be."

"Gareth's good with a sword, and almost full healed," she says, shortly. "Since any man with a sword you'll take, I should imagine that'll be good enough."

"He hasn't got an ounce of proper feeling in him," he retorts. "He's as likely to try to talk us out of it as go and get vengeance himself."

[dragon_dealer]

"He's the one that got himself run through for honor's sake. But if you're short a hand..."

[sir_agravaiting]

He looks at her, or at the back of her head, with a considering frown. "You said you can fence, didn't you? In that bout of your princessliness, or lack of it. We're short one Gaheris, it seems, at least."

[dragon_dealer]

"Yes, I can fence. I'm out of practice, but I'm probably already better than Gaheris, from what I've heard."

[sir_agravaiting]

He snorts with laughter. "Oh, probably. Very well, then. If we find out, we'll tell you. You find out, you tell us. And we'll get the bastar--...get the killer together."

[dragon_dealer]

She nods. "Bastard. We might as well call him so. And deal."

[sir_agravaiting]

"Mordred's a bastard, so shut it," he says sharply. "...it stops working as an insult when the one you generally insult just laughs and takes it."

[dragon_dealer]

The typist can't remember whether Cimorene knew this about Mordred or not, but she shakes her head and says "Fine. Son of a bitch still open?"

"Be my guest." He stares moodily at the lake. "Well--well. Go ahead and throw your damn rocks, then, if you want to." He turns to leave.
