Dragon Age: Inquisition SPOILER reminders
IDK if selphish is around and actively reading the community (*waves if they are!*), but just in case they're not, a reminder:
November 11th (that's tomorrow in North America) marks the curtains rising on spoilery reviews by game journalsts. November 13th (Thursday) is when Xbox One users with EA Early Access will be able to play the full game for a short amount of time. GA access doesn't begin until November 18th (next week) in North America and later in the week for Europe and Australia.
It doesn't look like the Community has a definitive spoiler policy, so: let's be reasonable about this. Don't start posting unmasked game spoilers as soon as you find them, either from the reviews, early access, or when you get your hot little hands on the game next week, until everyone has a chance to get through at least their first playthrough. (Given how large this game has been described, I'm thinking that will probably be at least until the end of December).
Put EVERYTHING related to pre-release reviews with spoilers, EA Early access, or your own first playthrough behind an LJ-CUT (for a top-level post) or LJ-SPOILER tag (posts or comments).
If any unmasked spoilers are found, a DM will be sent to the poster notifying them. Un-cut spoiler posts at the top-level upon being found will be re-posted (so the content isn't lost) with an LJ-CUT and the original post deleted (*) to spare the rest of the community. Comments will be immediately set to 'Screened' and left that way until corrected or re-posted with the appropriate LJ-SPOILER tag.
Given that I get extremely cranky about story spoilers, please don't make me accidentally read any while doing this. Consider this to be the first and only warning. :)
Anyone who finds an un-cut post or comment can DM me, and I'll take care of it as quickly as I can (I'll see if I can finesse my email to send some sort of notification to my phone as well). If it's a top-level post without a cut or spoiler tag and you feel comfortable re-posting it directly, go ahead and do so (in case I'm mobile and can't c&p it). If it's a spoiler comment on a post you made, please go ahead and Screen it yourself (if possible).
(ETA): A stickied top-level post will be made for 12am EST Tuesday, November 18th to collect community reactions to the game via comments so as not to flood the community. The same SPOILER policy will govern it, as we might be at different points in the game when wanting to post or read our own tidbts.

To receive external notification if someone sends you a DM, see the Notifications FAQ and modify the 'Someone sends me a private message' option under the My Account Settings page (I have mine set to 'send Email', for example).
