SGA ficlet: Obvious

Obvious
Itty-bitty early-seasons McShep, PG-13.
(Mostly an experiment in Rodney's internal voice. This is totally what I think the inside of his head sounds like, at 99 miles an hour, all the time)

Sheppard's lips on his were warm and soft and very, very unexpected. )

tv: sga, my fic: sga, my fic

*dies* The inside of Rodney's brain is an interesting place. I find whenever I get inside his head, the words that result are 100% not mine.

I know! it's kind of an exhausting POV. I mean, literally. It makes my head tired. (and the idea that the inside of his head is ALWAYS spinning that fast... well, makes a lot of the character make a lot of sense!)

Oh, Rodney, comparing his embarrassment to your cat's?! Just dig that hole deeper!

"Sheppard is gay" was retrospectively slightly more obvious than Boyle's Law, but the "and you really, really want him" corollary turned out, once discovered, to be slightly more obvious than gravity.

So true! :D

*g*

(I'm glad it was obviously a cat! I wondered about that... But I totally think Sheppard acting all cool totally resembles an embarrassed cat. So. heh.)

Rodney took a breath to move on to a less idiotic question, and then saw the expression on Sheppard's face.

It was pure unrestrained humiliation.

I had to stop reading at this point and savor the angst. Wow.

Loved it!

But it's very temporary angst! That helps, right?

Thank you
