Just wanted to point out to everybody that A Dog's Breakfast is on Hulu. You guys, it's adorable. Seriously. It's totally, "David Hewlett calls his best buddies and says, hey, I found 20 bucks under my couch cushions, wanna put on a show?" The snarky meta commentary is hilarious. The writing is hilarious. I loved that book! Maybe not quite as much as I loved Kavalier and Clay, but still a whole of a lot. It's really impressive how Chabon manages to be so melancholy and so drop-dead hilarious at the same time.

See, now I'm going to have to read Kavalier and Clay! But yeah- I picked this up for the alternate history premise, and didn't expect it to be so funny.

Definitely read Kavalier and Clay. I don't know if you're a comic book fan or not, but even if you're not, it still has lots of fascinating things to say about creativity and art and how the world we live in affects the stories we tell to ourselves and to each other.
