*shivers* This is really powerful. The thought of Daniel suddenly remembering, all at once, what he's done is such a nerve-wracking prospect.
And funnily enough, considering it starts out so dark, it's a very hopeful story. Jack, bottling all that up and waiting (hoping) for Daniel to get with the program is so sweet.
I'm so glad you liked! That was what started the story for me, actually- Daniel de-ascending and going "that time I raped Jack" and then going "oh shit." It's a pretty horrific and absurd and powerful.
Ooh, gorgeous. Jack living with that knowledge all that time, Daniel's shock when it casually pops into his head, the rightness and promise of their kiss at the end.
I utterly adore this line: And that is more or less the end of the greatest love affair Jack O'Neill never had.
My eyesight is crap, but I think I saw a couple spots where the word 'farther' came out as 'father'.
Oh, yeah. This definitely lived up to the teasers you posted. Your handling of Jack's pov is especially brilliant, the way you balanced his love and attraction to Daniel with his experience of being raped by him... which, seriously, only in sci-fi fandom can that ever be made to work, but even so... that's still a difficult balance to strike. Nice job.
And Daniel's horror, of course, at remembering. And his wanting to do whatever Jack needs to help him. It's exactly what he would do, as is driving to Jack's house for a confrontation in the first place.
Jack is talking, a gentle stream of unimportant words in the sort of tone you use to soothe a frightened animal. [...] "We're gonna get home, it's gonna be fine," Jack is saying, words that ought to be for Jack's benefit but are instead somehow for Daniel's. "We're gonna get you back, Danny, we are," Jack says.Wow. This touches me deeply. For him to be reassuring Danny at that moment, when even Danny knows it should be the other way around.... I am heartsick for your Jack and so glad

I'm so glad this lived up to the teaser! That's one of the things I really enjoy- I don't think I've really seen careful explorations of consent issues outside of fanfic.
I am heartsick for your Jack and so glad he got the ending he did.
Oh. Thank you so much. It's good that moment worked.

I love the back and forth of pov. And the ... well... montage, I suppose... covering the "and then life went on for a while" part.
My icon tells you my absolute non-porn favorite part.
