I just discovered Torchwood!

QUESTION: If you were the manager of many many employees, would you set a HUGE MAJOR deadline for midnight on February 14th? As opposed to, say, 24 (or even 12!) hours earlier?

"No," you say? Congratulations! You win the "I am not a sadist" gold star. One that Dustin's boss does not win.

The best part? Torchwood gets better the second season. Still keeps the crack, but the characters are much more... consistent and well-developed, maybe? It's like they figured out who they are and where they were going over break.

Good, cause so far the actual characterization is mediocre- I'm glad it trends up (please tell me we actually see some Ianto? Cause he's like a ghost so far...) I will definitely keep watching!

In the second season you see more Ianto. In the first season, you really don't get much Ianto at all, even in that one episode with the stuff that should logically be pretty Ianto-centered.

OMG the pretty...

I've never watched Torchwood, because I REFUSE to be drawn into yet another fandom. But - er. Yes. Because Mark Harmon hits all the right buttons for me, and you're right. John Barrowman has The Eyes. Which is unfortunate, because I might just have to take a peek and see what I'm missing.

Damn. I kind of hope I hate it...

Well, plotting and characterization are not fantastic yet, so it's not like I would watch aside from Jack. But he is SO VERY good, and it's just pure good FUN.

You should watch through the third episode- he's at his hottest yet, and there is this scene where he takes a new team-member to the range to teach them to shoot. And there is like five minutes of pure, unabashed gun!porn. *fans* God.

I can put the first three up for you- interested?

Looks like most of the first eps are up on Youtube so I'll catch them there. They're pretty good quality.

... and I googled Torchwood and found James Marsters as a guest star. Now THAT's worth watching. Mmm.
