We have Safeway up here in NorCal. Wonder why you don't down there?

I hope you survive the holiday, turkey or no turkey!

Aw, I'm just having a little orphan Thanksgiving. It won't be traumatic at all. I hope you survive too!

to the site of something called Vons, which I've never heard of, but it seems to be an alias of Safeway in this heathen state.

This kind of kills me. *g* Having just moved from down there to Portland, I have a new appreciation of this kind of problem. (Luckily, you people have an abundance of Albertsons up here. Though I'm still trying to figure out whether Fred Meyer stores are a Wal-mart-esque incarnation of evil.)

good stuffing = the highlight of Thanksgiving. Enjoy, and have a good holiday!

Yes, that is exactly what they are. (I am impressed you figured it out so quick!)

Actually, I have no idea if Fred Meyer's ever been called out for the kind of slave labor and union-busting crap WalMart has. But from the shopper's side, they are huge and low-quality and soulless and just generally creepy, which is also exactly how I feel about WalMart. I think it has something to do with stores that think I should be able to buy clothes, power tools, and groceries in one place. That's just... not right.

Yeah, it's so convenient. A little too convenient. ;)

And it's funny, my sister took me to Fred Meyer's my first night here, and when we walked in, the first words out of my mouth were, "The devil lives here, doesn't he?" It was so obvious. *nods*

(Happy Turkey Day!)
