Oh, I knew for sure there had to be lots out there. I just haven't seen many yet. (Especially in Chicago... we are not a drag-heavy town to begin with, and what there is is mostly queens.)

Hee hee, that's a nifty term! I'm a bit older so I don't think it would work for me. Drag Thing is one I've used... And layered gender. Or just `effeminate king'...

Hey there! I'm a King here in Chicago and I just had my debut performance last night with Miss Foozie at Rehab Lounge. Chicago does have a great drag scene but it is HEAVILY dominated by Queens. I want to try and change that. I'm also looking into trying to get into SFDKC and IDKE this year. I know several years ago Mary's Attic in Andersonville used to host A LOT of Drag King events but it seems they no longer do.
