Nice ride yesterday

I got to play with William yesterday. I had some errands to run, but I still managed to stop by the barn. I was wearing jeans and didn't feel very restricted in them, so I thought riding in them would be ok (normally, I much prefer to ride in riding tights or breeches - this is one of these things that I need to "let go of" in my head

so, will you ever get to the point where you take him for long rides outside of the arena thingy?

Oh sure! I want to get myself back up to speed as well as having more of a bond of trust with William. Then I want to go trail riding with a buddy (it's much safer if you have two people). I do have a trail buddy all set up, she also wants to work on a more solid relationship with her horse as well. So, once she is set and confident, then we can talk about where we want to go outside of the arenas (either a trail ride, a ride around the property or just riding in the wide open field that is behind the property).

How long will that take? I dunno.... :-)
