This is wonderfully bittersweet--I love how you weave the canon in with such warmth and grace. Wishing on a plane is brilliant. ♥

Why thank you for your kind words! That is just about the best praise I could get. ♥

I wish I could take full credit for wishing on an airplane, but B.o.B's song is really the one that did it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it though. That was my favorite scene to write. :D

You picked my favorite parts! Three and four were actually the first scenes written and were so much fun to write. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thanks so much! ♥

Thank you! I very much tried to keep them in character with the little scenes we get between them. :D

Hee, I'm so glad you liked the frosting. I absolutely have no idea where that came from except that Cal might get a laugh out of it. ;) And I wish I could take full credit for wishing on a plane, but B.o.B's song did that. That scene was an absolute joy to write though.

OH the sweetnessssssssssss........ I can't. Just. sdfjklsdfjklsdfjklsd! No words.

Okay, I lied. I have words: I loved the section about getting one free question with no holds barred once a year. And his answer to her question made me tear up a little. I have a memory like that one. And wishing on airplanes = brilliant. (I love that song.) And the writing on the cake at the end? I melted into a flaily mess. Thank you.

Wow. No words is quite the compliment. Thank you. ♥

I'm so glad you liked The Question game. That was the hardest scene for me to write and to get right because it's so direct and so honest, and Cal usually isn't one to just open up on a whim. I'm glad that it worked and that his story resonated a bit. ♥

I wish I could take full credit for wishing on an airplane but the song did it. I love that song a bit too much I think. :P And the cake came out of nowhere, so I'm glad that worked as well. Flaily mess is the best way to go. ;)

Every single one of these is lovely. I love the "Not Fucking Nasty Frosting", Emily singing Disney songs, Gillian remembering Sophie's birthday, and the magical mashed potatoes. The little details are the best parts.

Why thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the little details. That's what I wanted to make this about, the little nonsense details that they would use to celebrate. Thank you for commenting. It truly means a lot. ♥
