Announcement: Quidditch!
So even though our quidditch log is still ongoing, we have already gone ahead and picked out quidditch teams and positions. Just for a quick refresher, in case some of you missed the announcement Madam Hooch made in the log regarding how these things are going to work.
Instead of interrupting the existing canon teams that exist in MD's world to find positions for the 21 players who signed up, we decided to institute intramural teams that would play in addition to the normal house team schedule. Each team will consist of players from each of the four houses and they will scheduled to play against each of the house teams and the other intramural teams until the end of the school year. When one of these teams wins, the total winning score will be divided evenly and split among the winners to help your house towards it's goal of winning the house cup. For example, if team one wins a match against team 3, with a score of 300 to 250. Then each house will be awarded an extra 75 points.
We felt that this decision to add more teams would be more favorable than only picking 1-2 students from each house to become substitutes for the main house teams. In the future, as we gain more players, this also allows us the chance to add more quidditch teams if we gain more interest.
That being said, we'd like to direct your attention to the official intramural team listings. We did our best to accommodate everyone we could, so hopefully no one is too disappointed. Here's a handy visual for the click lazy:
What we need from everyone is two things!
- Name your team
- Pick a team captain.
This is a great chance to get some logs going in the community or at the very least some posts in the network. Talk it out in character, but every team needs a leader and a name so they can be identified in game! As usual let us know if you have questions, comments, or concerns.
