SCA Costuming Question

I will be sewing my first SCA costume in the coming weeks. My pants will be this terracotta color:

I don't know whether one color is more period than the other, but I prefer the color combination of terra cotta and emerald.

Well, all 3 will be there. It's just that there will be a short-sleeved over-tunic of one color over another.

The Crimson would be too much of an overall red to my taste. The emerald mixes it up a bit and works better.
