I heard of a man, in world war 2, so brave he rushed past their lines to stop advancing soldiers. he has shot 17 times (in the chestplate) hit by three bombs, and survived. his final blow was to protect his comerades from another bomb that was rushing towards them. there were about 174 of them and only five died total. including the man that did the damage to the enemy lines. this sacrifice gave them courage, and the upper hand. he not only damaged the enemy lines, but got them confused. (note that there were americans and nazis) the americans then pushed the nazis back into africa, britian joined in and destroyed the nazi forces. after the war, each soldier, dead or alive, was awarded the silver medal of honor(or somthing like that. it was the greatest honor to recieve, so if anyone knows what it is, correct me.). this man made the greatest sacrifice in americas history and shall be remembered.
