Wow!! I am really speechless at your truly incredible comment. Thank you so much! It truly pleases me to see that you appreciated this fiction as it really meant a lot to me and was quite a journey to write.

It's wonderful to hear you felt that Harry and his struggles were really IC. I have this head canon of Harry's life and marriage and how a lot of that came from his fervent desire for children and re-live the sort of life his parents should have had. (I mean, how many references are there in the books of Ginny looking like Lily?) I feel in that sense it's possible that Harry could have other desires, deeper ones that he shoves away in order to live a more perfect, controlled life. Something to contrast the turbulent childhood he experienced.

I really love angsty-but-resolved epilogue-compliant getting together fics - and this was very sweet and credibly done :) Your Harry's self-torturing over his feelings is so VERY HIM, but I'm glad he gave in in the end. Everyone will be happier for it! And the sex in the study? Guh. Give me a desk for some secret bent-over we-can't-help-it sex any day!

Also, as a side note, making Astoria someone other than "the bride arranged by Draco's parents" was a really nice touch :) I liked that you gave her personality and even a leading role in changing Draco's mind on certain things.

Thank you so much for your comment! I love EC fics myself so I am very happy you enjoyed this one! Harry is so the type to brood and punish himself but I think this time his desire and feelings for Draco finally got him out of that funk!

And yes, I love the potential Astoria has in these kind of fics. I wanted to give her a bigger role but I didn't want the story to drag too much and with it being in Harry's POV it just didn't work out.

I really enjoyed reading this. Really, really. The pining here is so resonant and, in my opinion, very true ti Harry as a character. I love the way you have him working through his shit.

As an aside, mere days after reading this I saw the Smashing Pumpkins live, and they played Eye, and having read this fic, the song was all Harry and Draco for me. <3

This was a truly wonderful entry. I was in tears while reading a few parts, especially when he speaks with his parents via the memorial. The angst was perfect, and I love that it ended on a happy ending for Harry and Draco. Nicely done, mystery author <3
