background: spending the summer before my return to school in fall of 2013 indulging in nostalgia got the muse going with a vengeance on this, my first seaQuest fic. i knew i wanted to write something, but nothing was coming to mind until i was rewatching the pilot episode and a sudden thought jumped into my mind: we never know what happens to Marilyn Stark. all canon says is that they didn't capture her and she's never mentioned again. so what if she died escaping the Delta-4 sub....and someone decides to take revenge in her name? thus, this fic was born.
