a/n: Little undercurrents of plot running through here. This would have been up a lot sooner if I had posted it when I thought I posted it two weeks ago. I just realized today that, oops, I never actually posted it. Sorry!

Yeah. The backstory of TFA has always kind of struck me as a cautionary tale for all the other continuities. Like "this is what would have happened if the Autobots had won the war while the Senate/High Council/Corrupt were still in charge" rather than all having been slaughtered by Megatron and Starscream. I'm kind of working from that point of view as a sort of explanation as for why the Autobots keep coming across as not good guys. That corruption has lingered and continues to fester.

And hopefully, with Optimus next to him, Megatron will become more of the freedom fighter he was meant to be in the other continuities, rather than a power-hungry tyrant. :) If that makes any sense...
