I think I broke something giggling so much. Seriously. I would try and quote my favorite lines, but it's like the whole chapter.

Re: the wooden spoons. It's a reference to one of many vague courting rituals of human history that Ratchet keeps tossing at the Twins both to a) indicate his interest and b) confuse the slag out of them in revenge for all of those annoying pranks. lol

So the apple, thimbles, and spoons are all human courtship rituals. A few more will show up in following chapters. :)
