I have heard many people squeeing about such. I suppose I should start watching the first season?

Where would I do that? Should I just try renting them, or do you know of some legal place online to watch them for free? (Like how NBC does "Heroes" on the web.)

In all honesty, it's not *that* good. Nowhere near the brilliance of Doctor Who and other than Captain Jack (who is awesome) I find the other main characters a little weak (although I do like Ianto who's a minor character). The reason I love it is that it takes place in the city I lived in for eight years (before moving just outside). I recognise the places, I recognise the accents (although, really, there aren't *that* many people with strong Welsh accents in Cardiff). I enjoy the story lines but it's nothing compared to say Stargate.

I presume Torchwood would show on BBC America if anything. Unfortunately the BBC's "watch again" website is (a) only available to those in the UK (because of our TV license setup), and (b) only shows things within a week of them showing.

So my answer is that you should probably rent them. However, Rat and I suspect that you won't absolutely need to see the first season to understand the second, although you'll miss some inevitable character development!

*waves* Hey, you probably don't know me, but I want to thank you for making your "red" S1 style public. I'm borrowing it temporarily; it's a clean, nice design, and very easy on the eyes. :)

Have you authored any S2 styles?
