A little secret to better eating that I came across might help you move away from the Chinese food, but it depends on if you were eating it because it was GOOD, or because it was easy. I moved on to Thai food instead, which is usually better for you but harder to get. Have you ever had Thai?

The only Thai we've had was lemongrass stuff - which I can't stand. There's also nowhere to get Thai food anywhere around here. We get Chinese because it's fairly cheap and tasty and local. We have reduced our chinese though to one small rice between us, one chicken dish, and some mini pancake rolls and samosas - this is so much better than we used to have so that's something. If only we'd learn not to get Dominoes every time we complain that the price has gone up again!

I use the Tesco bags (the free ones they don't take back) as my trashcan liners. They save me from buying other liners, so the amount of plastic I use is greatly reduced.
