It created a special something, a secret to share between them, a space that was just their own. And okay, maybe it was the wrong message to send and quite contrary to what Jee wanted to establish between them, but it seemed crucial in creating the right sort of mood to tell Zuko to stop with his… weird interest.LOL. Jee is so hilariously bad at not inviting more transgressions. Giving Zuko a space to swear and smoke cigarettes and whatnot? He might as well write KEEP TRYING, KID, YOU'RE ALMOST THERE on his forehead ( ... )

I really can't wait to find out how the banishment scenario played out in this AU.
So next chapter, Zuko's going to be singing, "I believe I can flyyy. I believe I can touch the sky?" Is he going to be singing because he wants to impress Jee or did Iroh put him up to it? Because I was thinking that Zuko usually avoids Music Night like the plague and usually hides in his room while it's going on XD.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

So good to know the bonding is visible here. I was really anxious that it wouldn't come across strongly enough.
Um, I don't know if I'll disappoint you or not, but no, there shall be no singing Zuko in the next chapter (though DEAR TOPHGOD THE MENTAL IMAGE, I really want to write a cracky spinoff in which he would now XD). The flying thing is about something else entirely, though it has the potential to be almost equally cracky.
Thank you so much!

I love that Jee is canonically musical and an established expert in stirring love songs:
