I don't want to read any letter at the moment...

She's still on about that, you know. Sooner or later, she'll have her way.

I agree that it's . . . more of a big deal for you than it might be for me, since you're not familiar with the practice. And what we're doing is for much more ethical reasons than say the Purebloods who are paranoid about having a Squib in the family and therefore try to top up where nature failed---Potter! How dare you try to cover my mouth while I'm trying to tell yt43j0tenrdvijdktb3iubtekrgf

Just don't do it again, okay?

. . . Which part? The not telling you about it part?

Yes, the not telling me part. Obviously now I know, but for the next thing that you devise to do behind my back, maybe re-think the whole 'behind my back' part and just tell me first.

So you'd prefer that I shake you awake at three in the morning to announce that I'm going to leak a bit of magic into our children? Can't there be some leeway when it comes to the actual timing?

You can only use that argument if you tell me the very next morning. Which you did not. Or the morning after that, or the morning after that...you see where I'm going with this, yes?

Maybe I didn't want you elbowing in on my territory just yet.

...what's that supposed to mean?

That I was enjoying having a bit of quality time with each of them . . . it isn't exactly an outing to the ballet or an afternoon at the cinema, but. And this is another way you've been right lately, since you were the one who decided everyone is entitled to their own one-on-one time. Sort of offsets living in each other's pockets, don't you think?

I wouldn't have kept you from having one-on-one time with them...

This rather was a part of my one-on-one time, in a way, and you'll get yours as well.

Draco, I would not have intruded on your time with the children.

I'm not saying you would have, it was just---nice. I don't know. It's a bit like the feeling when you've been caring for a sick infant, then they finally turn the corner and start to improve. You'll know what I mean once you have your turn, Potter.

I don't need a turn. You seem to be handling it just fine.

You'll have a turn, if it's the last thing you do.
