Draco's happiness faded when AJ lifted his arms, clearly wanting to be picked up. Potter must have noticed how his face fell.
"If you sit in the rocker, I can set AJ on your lap," he offered. "That is, if you feel up to it."
"So long as he sits relatively still, I can manage," said Draco. He sat down, smiling again when his son was deposited on his lap. "Thank you," Draco whispered through the lump in his throat. He reckoned this level of cooperation was common in most families, but his relationship with Potter was anything but normal.
