This is so stark and wonderful. I love how you explain the picture moving its location in Jack's locker and how Jack's made this quiet realization (how many loops to think about everything). And Daniel just being the support and...

Aw, this is great. I love stories that show the slow progression of recovery and how it can take sometimes take years to reach some level of acceptance.

There's a lot more bubbling beneath the surface of that conversation between Jack and Malakai. This ficlet is a nice way to dig into it.

Yeah we were talking about how much better it would've been if RDA had done Unending instead of The Shroud. :)
