I keep falling asleep. My head actually hit my keyboard today... Lol. Luckily there was nobody else in the office at the time. I would say I'd have an early night, but knowing my body, I'll be awake until silly o'clock and unable to sleep.

I woke up this morning convinced it was Saturday. Had a moment of "WTF? Alarm? It's the weekend....oh. No it's ( Read more... )

*looks around for an inanimate object* *hides behind toaster* Not my fault . . . oh, sorry. Probably my fault.

You'd have to get the upgrade for each one, just like the OS itself. And you'll have to make sure both the laptop and the PC have the capacity to handle the upgrade.

LOL! It's maybe a little bit your fault... :)

And oh bugger. I was hoping I'd only have to pay once. And yeah, I'd have to check that. The lappy should be no problem I think, but the PC is getting a bit slow, so I'd have to check.

Basically, check the details on the packaging. Generally, you have to have a unique license for every OS, and upgrades are included -- after that, it depends on how much the software rats you out to the internet. Usually, the stuff will hit the fan when you try to authenticate the software and install patches -- at that point, you'll only be able to patch one installation, and the other will be labelled as a pirated item. This is, after all, how Microsoft makes money.

But that's subject to variation. Check the upgrade and find out if it can be used on multiple installations. If in doubt, ask the Friendly Geeks at the store, or send an inquiry to the website.

Yeah I think I'll just have to ask. I know one of our things had a licence for two computers in the same household. I think it was our Antivirus software. Thanks anyway. :)

"knowing my body, I'll be awake until silly o'clock and unable to sleep" - Story of my life.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you are having such trouble staying awake. I hate when that happens and dread going back to school next week because of it.

Have you ever tried just taking an nap instead of trying to force yourself to do the early night thing? That's how I got through high school with my silly body.

"I also would like iPod headphones with little heaters in pls."

I applaud this idea, as well.

Also... I'm going to ask: "Fanfic meme?"

Like a kink meme? Because if inanimate object slash isn't kink I'm not sure what is o.O That's a new one for me... but I'm shutting no doors. Hmm.

I've been napping after tea, which wakes me up too much for a normal bedtime.

It wasn't so much a meme actually as a quiz. It's a few days ago on my LJ and it said I was a "weirdo" who wrote things like "slash with inanimate objects". Lol. I haven't so far, but my muse perked up and took interest... Lol. Not sure I can pull it off...

So is this like... Daniel/Floppy Hat OTP?

o.o ....seriously, though, there should be a Stargate kink meme.

No, it's much more weird and I don't really want to air it on LJ... LOL. It' kinda sick.

But yes, usual inanimate object stuff would be Daniel/floppy hat or somthing like that.

I'm sure there is a Stargate kink-meme somewhere. There are probably several. It's a very kinky fandom. Lol. *g*
