My thoughts, as well. Young has quickly become one of my favorites, along with Eli and TJ. :) But of course, he's no Jack O'Neill. :) They do share the same selfless characteristics, though. :D

Even though Greer's kinda scary, Rush is a shady bastard and I think he's gonna get Greer in trouble for what happened. The jerk. YOU TOLD HIM TO SHOOT!

That confused me a bit, too. But I think Scott was meant to be younger in that flashback. I'm guessing maybe 17 or 18.
Oh I like him, but I've seen people saying he's SGU's Jack O'Neill and while I can see that his position is equal within the SGU team, I think the simlarities are very few. And so far, he just has no sense of humour. :)
The only problem I can see with Greer is that he has an out of control temper! He seems to flip over the smallest thing, but I don't think he's necessarily a bad person. Rush on the other hand...yeah. Has the potential to be pure evil. I don't think he is; I think there's something else lurking under the surface, but the potential is certainly there.
Yeah I got that he was younger, I was just confused by all the religious stuff at first. That said, I love the way we're getting little glimpses of the characters and their backstories at a time. :)
Yeah, definitely don't think Young is SGU's Jack. The sense of humor isn't there (I don't think it's gonna be, either), besides, like you said, the similarities are few. Young, to me, takes on a very fatherly role with his commanding role.
As for Rush, yeah he certainly has evil potential. I'm looking forward to see more clips from his past, since I don't think we've seen any. The only clue (that I recall) is the picture he was looking at in his quarters, and he was crying. (wife? gf?)
I'm really liking the little flashes of backstory as well. :)
So yeah... I'm going to be posting an EPIC picspam/commentary on Air I,II,III with all my little thoughts on the episode. But I will say that, even though Young is not Jack, I LOVE HIM! Kind of obcessive over him, Eli, and *coughRushcough*.
On the thing about Scott, he's about 16 (since the priest died when he was 16) in the flashback and yes I do believe he was going to become a priest as well. But he gave into temptation and that's why he let down himself, the priest, and God.
And the music was amazing, went and downloaded it as soon as the episode was over.
