I have to sympatize with OH on this one. I remember grumbling about the sily little things they cutout of LOTR for no apparent reason.. still loved the movie.. but just keep shaking my head; WHYYY..lol, anyway

glad you had fun luv!

I'm with OH as well for the most part - not because they left stuff out but because the sequence of events itself only vaguely followed the book. Though it was my least favorite book anyway, so I can forgive them more than I would if they had done it to the fourth or seventh book. XD

I knew that thing was gonna jump out of the water and it still made me (and almost everyone else!) jump out of my seat!!

*snickers* When he was dipping the cup in the water I was counting to myself, "Zombie hand in 5...4...3...2..1...," -BOOM!- "HOLY CRAP ZOMBIE HAND!"

Yeah, i kinda go in not expecting them to follow the book exactly so that I'm not disappointed. I can quite happily view the movies and books almost as separate entities.

"Zombie hand in 5...4...3...2..1...," -BOOM!- "HOLY CRAP ZOMBIE HAND!"

LMAO!! IKR?? I knew it was coming, but it still made me jump!

Hey-- The theatre where I saw the midnight release cheered at the end of the Wild Things preview.

Also, that movie was fanfuckingtastic. I loved the character interaction and all of the little touches that they added. It's adorable to see them grow and develop. Fantastic.

Glad you liked it, too. :)

:D I only discovered the book about two years ago but I instantly fell in love with it! I have to go and see it. :)

"Of course it's not the same as the book. It can't be" Can you just ... I dunno, email that to all my friends? :P they're all in knots cause it's not exactly the same *sigh*

Woohoo! :D

It can't be the same; there's just no way. I view the movies as an "adaptation" of the books, not a carbon copy. I don't think there's much that was left out that actually makes a difference to the story as a whole. A few details that only fans of the books would miss. I am still confused about The Burrow though. Lol.

Personally, I think they've done an excellent job with all the movies so far. They had the potential to screw it up so badly, but they're brilliant. :) I can not wait for Deathly Hallows! I have no idea how they're going to fit it all in and I have a feeling they're going to have to cut chunks out (hopefully some of the deaths?? Lol!). I'm prepared for the "it's not the same as the book!" fail again.

2nd viewing? *jealous* I did try and pre-order the DVD yesterday, but can't yet. Lol. I've put myself on the email list to be notified as soon as pre-order is available! :D

yeah 1 good part about living with my parents is that they need to see it therefore I can go twice :D
i looked up pre-ordering the dvds but yeah ... if the website was able to look at me weirdly - it would have.
Yes, I do agree - they really could have Screwed this up and they haven't :D. One good thing about making 2 movies out of Deathly Hallows is they can't cut out ... tooo much - I mean it's not a very long book right??
Although, if Lupin, Tonks and/or Fred managed to make it through i would NOT complain!

LOL, not the longest book, no, but there's just so much stuff in it! There aren't really any lulls in the action and I just can't imagine what they could take out.

Totally with you on Tonks, Remus and Fred! And Hedwig... and Dobby...and... *sigh* too many people die in that book. I nearly threw it at the wall several times.

Glad you liked it as well! And I do agree with you, they are adaptions and should be remembered as much. But yes, the Burrow thing was weird. My friends and I all looked at each other and I was like, "Did this happen in the book? Wasn't THe Burrow in the 7th?!" They nodded and we just WTF and then went back to watching.

And yes, Zombie-hand-of-doom scared the fuck out of me...

Tonks/Lupin for the win - in all seriousness, they are epically cute!

LOL! Even though we knew it was coming! "It's gonna jump out in a minute, I know it is, it's gonna jump out.... ARGH!!" :D *loves*

Tonks/Lupin... *happy sigh* (or not, coz, y'know...DOOMED!*sniffles*) They are my favourite HP pairing.
