Pansy clutched the sheet around her body as Draco shrugged into his jacket. It unnerved her to see him like this. She’d never seen Draco so angry, distant. He was focused and he had a specific goal in mind, she could tell that just by looking at his jaw and how it remained locked in place, his face never breaking into a smirk.

She could’ve sworn she almost saw death in his eyes, or a lust for causing pain and torture. A smirk came across her face as she slid out of her bed, wrapping the black silk sheet around her naked form. Tilting her head a bit she wondered if Draco would slid into those sheets again, and instead of wrapping the cool silk around her body, her pulse quickened at the thought of Draco wrapping his body around hers.

“Draco, luv, tell me what’s bothering you,” she crooned into his ear, wrapping her arm around his waist from behind. She pushed herself up onto her tiptoes as she placed a brief kiss of her lips against his neck. Draco brushed away from her, making her frown, “After everything between us, you shy away from me now? When you need me the most?”

Turning towards Pansy, brow raised Draco scoffed as he shook his head and adjusted his jacket as he stared towards the doorway, wondering if any of Pansy’s new lovers were going to try and break through, demanding that Draco leave her to them once more. He smirked, not a chance in hell. He needed Pansy and he was going to do whatever he had to in order to make sure she stayed loyal to him till he no longer needed her.

“I haven’t shied away from you at all, if I had I wouldn’t have come here, would I?” he replied, “I need you to do something for me,” he said softly as he caressed the side of her face. “You know that I need your help and I trust you, only you now.” Pansy giggled slowly.

“Then you promise to come back to me later tonight?” she murmured. Draco laughed a little as he ran his fingers along her jaw line, raising a brow as Pansy closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. He had no idea he had that much of an effect on her.

“Of course, how can I accomplish what I want to without my best girl?” he grinned slowly as he pulled his hand away, Pansy pouted. Draco sighed a moment as he fell back into one of the soft cushions of Pansy’s couch.

“Tell me again what you’re going to do to her, Draco.” Pansy crooned as she walked up to him and sat next to his leg, resting her arm against his thigh, “Tell me why you want to bring the mudblood pain now, only a few hours after you were so mean to me.”

Draco raised a brow, “I was mean?”

“You told me that I was nothing more than a horse that Lord Voldemort had ridden hard and wanted to put away wet, that was cruel of you, Draco.” Pansy’s mouth turned into a pout as she looked up to him and smiled a little as Draco sighed.

“You’ll have to forgive me. It was only a momentary lapse.” Draco’s eyes narrowed as he thought about how much of an idiot he had been. There was no way he was ever going to forgive the Weasel or the Mudblood - not until they paid.

“Then you won’t mind going another round,” Pansy whispered as she knelt in front of him, her hands traveling up his thighs as she went to undo his pants. Draco stopped her before she could undo the top button.

“Not now, Pansy,” he murmured. Draco turned his head to look out the window as he sat down, Pansy stroking his thighs as she tried to unzip his pants. He clamped his hand around her wrist, giving her a warning look before standing up and walking to the window. As he glanced out, he saw the Wizarding World moving on with their lives and moving on with the day.

He was going to do the same thing.

But first he needed to figure out who the letters were coming from. He had to know the circumstances leading up to his mother’s supposed ‘suicide’, and unfortunately, that meant possibly having to work with Hermione Granger.

Draco winced a second as Pansy’s hand took a hold of his own, it was bandaged up, something the house elves made quick work of when he had arrived at the Malfoy Manor. “Dammit Pansy, mind your own business for two bloody seconds,” he hissed.

“What made you do this, Draco?” she asked softly, trying to soothe the wound with her touch.

It only pissed Draco off more.

“A whore,” he muttered.

Hermione wasn’t going to worry.

That’s what she was telling herself, but it didn’t help to know that quite a few people had seen Draco storm out of the hotel where the celebration of Susan and Ron’s wedding was taking place. In the back of her mind, she felt a little guilt that she had left Ron alone with Susan shortly after Hermione and Harry had seen Ron slam against the wall of the hotel.

Ginny had checked on Ron, but now she was sitting across from her at her apartment as she paced back and forth, chewing on her nails. She had changed into her jeans and a t-shirt with her hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. With a small sigh, she checked the door again, hoping that Draco was going to walk out at any moment. When he didn’t, she felt the familiar ache in her heart that had made itself known since Neville had told her that he saw Draco storm out through the lobby - his hand bleeding.

“Hermione, it might very well be a possibility that he had accidentally cut his hand on something and he needed to get it tended to,” Ginny murmured, trying to make her friend feel better, “I mean he might just not have been able to find you and so he went to get it taken care of and he’s waiting at his apartment for you.” Hermione turned to Ginny, her eyes wide and hopeful.

“Do you really think that’s what’s happened, Ginny?” she asked, “I mean if he is waiting then I’d best get over there right?” She wrung her hands together. “I mean, there’s no chance that he actually saw Ron kissing me, right?” She whimpered a little as she sat down, pushing her fingers through her hair.

Ginny stood up and walked over to her, wrapping her arm around her shoulders, she gave her a tight hug, “It’ll be fine, Hermione. Harry will show up here any minute and he’ll tell you the same thing I have been.”

“You really believe that Ginny?” Hermione asked. Deep down, Ginny didn’t believe a single word of it. But she wasn’t about to tell Hermione that Luna had seen Draco slam his fist through a window and storm out of the hotel. Putting two and two together, Ginny made four, which only meant that Draco had seen the kiss between Ron and Hermione - and he hadn’t seen Hermione push Ron away.

Until she knew for sure, she was going to lie to his friend to make her feel better. The last thing she wanted to do was tear Hermione down, and that’s exactly what would happen. Both of their heads jerked up as they saw the doorknob turning and Hermione shot up off the couch, yanking the door open, making Ginny jump.

“Damn,” Harry murmured, “You scared me, Hermione.” Hermione sighed and turned away without a word towards Harry. “Well, so much for a hel-” Harry stopped herself when he saw Ginny shaking her head as Hermione walked into her bedroom, shutting the door. “She’s taking this whole, Draco disappearing a little hard isn’t she?”

Ginny sighed as she cross her arms and glanced down a moment, “Not really.” She whispered as she moved closer to Harry as he wrapped his arms around her, both looking towards the door that now shut them out. “I mean, think of if I had left with no word during the reception and people had seen me leaving with a bloody hand. Wouldn’t you be wondering what the hell had happened?”

Harry’s arms tightened.

“See?” Ginny said, making her point clear. “I mean, she’s just worried about him and then the fact that I’ve heard that he might’ve seen Ron kiss her - it just makes things even worse.” Harry raised a brow.

“If he saw Ron kissing her then all he has to do is sit down and talk to her, I’m sure Draco would understand seeing as how she pushed Ron off.” Harry murmured. Ginny sighed and shook her head as she pulled away from Harry, walking towards the kitchen.

“You’ve got to be kidding me, Harry,” she said, “You’re telling me that if this had been our situation you wouldn’t be even slightly pissed?” Harry shook his head.

“Not at all. You pushed off.”

“That’s not at all the point, Harry.” Ginny retorted, “Here, let me put it this way. What if Draco hadn’t seen Hermione push my idiot brother off? What would you have done then?” Harry crossed his arms, shrugging as he leaned against he counter opposite her. Ginny pulled out a tea cup from the cupboard. “Alright, what if you had seen me kissing Dean Thomas at the wedding?”

Ginny tried to keep from giggling as she saw Harry’s jaw set and the anger of the thought that she’d kiss anyone but him enter Harry’s mind. “Ah, see.” Ginny exclaimed, giggling as Harry shook his head.

“So in order to prove a point you wanted to make me angry?” he asked her, still leaning against the counter. Ginny shook her head and she smiled a little as she moved closer to him, pressing her body against his.

“No, I was just providing an example,” she whispered, Ginny leaned up, capturing Harry’s lips with her own as she sighed. When they pulled away from one another she smiled a little, “Pretty soon I won’t be able to do this anymore,” she murmured, as her body’s length pressed against his, “We’ll have a huge belly between us.”

“Let’s hope its twins then.” Harry teased, laughing as he saw Ginny’s eyes widen at the thought.

Hermione was glad that she heard laughter coming from her kitchen. She knew that both Harry and Ginny were going to be worried about her, but that would’ve done no good for either of them because she knew that the first few months of pregnancy were important for Ginny to stay healthy - and not under stress. The last thing that Hermione wanted to do was harm the baby that Ginny and Harry had created together. Pushing her window open, Hermione glanced towards the door one last time before she stepped through the window. Glancing down, she shut her eyes almost immediately, being on the top floor of a ten story apartment building was not fun. Thankfully, she was on the fire escape, all she needed to do now was climb down the steps and she could start looking for Draco on her own, without worrying her friends.

And she’d start at the Malfoy Manor.

Ron groaned as he took a long drink of the beer he had in front of him. His head was pounding, and he was pretty sure that he had a red imprint of the slap that Susan had given him. In being completely honest with himself he knew that he deserved all that he had gotten from Susan. The yelling, the crying, the slap, all of it had been rightfully deserved.

But that’s all he had deserved from Susan.

He hadn’t expected her to completely take Hermione’s side of things after she had been told exactly what was going on. He hadn’t wanted to but one look from Susan had Ron fearing that she’d forever turn him into a toad or something, that and he had promised to stay true to her through his vows.

“You want me to actually believe that you’ve been faithful to me this whole time?” Susan asked, her arms crossed as she leaned against the table, “I’m not stupid Ronald. I’ve known about your obsession with Hermione.” Ron raised a brow as he sat across from her, all alone in the one chair that was in their Honeymoon suite.

“How could you know?”

“Please, Ron,” Susan started, “You even swooned over her at Hogwarts. I’m just a damn idiot for thinking that you had actually come to love me.”

Ron hadn’t ever wanted to hurt Susan but he had done it and done it without remorse as he remembered constantly breaking plans with Susan in order to go out with Hermione. And now, looking at it, he could somehow understand how Hermione hated him.

Checking the glass in front of him, Ron frowned.

“I need another beer, mate.” He motioned towards the bar tender, “Fill me up another one will you?” As the bartender reached to take his glass, Ron tensed as he felt something dig into his backside, it felt like a wand.

“You don’t need another beer, Mr. Weasley, and you are to come with me at once. You’ve done some things that you’re going to have to fix - starting with your stupidity in ruining your own wedding.” A voice hissed behind him, Ron’s eyes widened as he thought he recognized it but the person prevented him from turning his head as he dug the wand in deeper, “Don’t turn around, and be quick about gathering your things. I don’t have the time to pick up after you.”

Ron did as he was asked; the fact that the wand was pressed up against his back was the only reason he had stood up so quickly. Holding his cloak in his hand, Ron motioned to the bartender, “Nevermind mate, seems I’m going to be heading out with my friend here.” He mumbled.

Walking towards the door, Ron frowned as he felt the person’s hand touch his shoulder. He didn’t look around much as the person came up to his side, making it seem as if they were two best friends walking through town together. When they came to a run down looking motel, Ron felt the wand dig into his side again as he walked towards the door that the person motioned to. Opening it, he walked in.

As the door shut and the blinds were closed, Ron frowned.

“Sit down on the bed you idiot.” The man ordered, pulling his cloak away from his face. When he did, Ron rolled his eyes and sighed as he crossed his arms and sat down.

“What do you want?” Ron growled.

Pulling her cloak tighter around her body, Hermione sighed as she felt the wind cut across her skin, making her shiver. Malfoy Manor was just a bit further away, she knew that much because the Knight Bus had dropped her off at the front gate. Since the front gate wouldn’t open with a spell, Hermione decided to climb over it and walk the rest of the way.

As she neared the front door, she smiled a little, seeing the smoke coming from the chimney. That meant that someone was home because she knew that the house elves that kept Malfoy Manor had never started a fire without being ordered to do it. Her gaze fell over the oak door that seemed more like a bridge that would be lowered than a door, raising her hand, she grasped the silver snake that hung from the door, knocking twice.

It was only a few moments before a tiny house elf answered the door, when it opened the door, it’s eyes widened in surprise as it quickly shut it in Hermione’s face. Hermione frowned, grabbing the door handle she shook it, “Let me in,” she growled.

The house elf opened the door again, shaking its head.

“The woman is not allowed inside, by order of Master Draco,” It said softly, “Master Draco insisted that no woman besides Mistress Pansy is allowed inside.” Hermione glared towards the tiny elf in front of her, crossing her arms.

“That’s absolute rubbish,” Hermione muttered, “Call your Master to the front door, I want to talk to him.” The house elf feverishly shook its head.

“Not allowed to disturb the Master, that’s the rule that us house elves must obey. If the woman wants to talk to Master, she must come back at another time or write Master a letter.” It replied. Hermione rolled her eyes.

“Let me in you idiot.” She exclaimed, pushing her way through the door. The house elf cried out in despair as Hermione walked into the foyer of the Manor. Glancing around she sighed as she began walking through the halls, looking for Draco.

Hearing a soft feminine laugh made Hermione’s stomach drop as she turned the corner and walked into the parlor. The door was open and the light was streaming through, as she walked up, Hermione took a deep breath in as she let out a deep sigh and peered inside.

She was sure she could hear her heart actually breaking as she saw Pansy with Draco standing behind her as both leaned down over a pool table and Pansy held a cue stick in her hands as Draco helped her to slowly move it back and forth.
