He had just spent half an hour in the training mill, so we figured it must have happened there even if I didn't see him do anything funny. We don't know for sure how he did it. LOL.

Well, I hope that he will heal soon and without any complications.

I don't think it'll be a problem. The vet took out the piece of wood and stitched him up. The stitches are barely visible and he's back to his usual work schedule. :)
