Everyone’s learnt not to get between Bobby and John, and they’re usually left to their own private battles.
Bobby doesn’t feel the cold and he doesn’t need to waste time bending down, can just open his palm and conjure a ball of ice. John, on the other hand, hates the cold and retaliates with bursts of flame that melt any snowballs before they can reach him.
It’s stalemate, always is, and they both end up soaked and panting and laughing and each insisting they’re the winner. They’re impossible to battle with, but it’s always the broad grins on their faces, eyes only for each other, that nobody wants to get between.
