“Road trip!” Amber exclaimed, bounding into the base early one Sunday morning. The next thing they knew, Terecito, Takuya and Ricky were all stuffed into a small rental car along with a large picnic lunch, snacks, sodas and various other travel necessities.
About eight hours and several fun touristy stops later, they arrived at the American side of Niagara Falls. Amber smiled happily, with no small amount of love in her expression, as she watched Terecito and Takuya scamper around on one of the observation platforms, taking pictures of each other and the spectacular falls with the inexpensive digital cameras she’d given them for the trip.
“This was a really good idea,” Ricky said with a warm smile of his own, casually slipping his arm around her waist, to see if she’d let him do it. She allowed it, snugging against him for a moment, before turning quickly, snapping his picture with her own camera, and then skipping off to join the two defenders. Ricky grinned and followed.
