"Ax-man, Bird-boy. 'Sup?"
< Good morning, Marco. > Ax trotted to the far side of his scoop, one stalk eye twisting to continue watching the flashing TV screen. < Are we meeting at the barn today? >
"Nah." Marco waved a hand and flopped dramatically onto the sofa. "Jake ditched me for his mom so I figured I'd come hang out here. You don't mind, do you?" He peeked over the arm of the couch with what was supposed to be an innocent expression.
I lifted one wing, ducking my head to straighten the feathers. < Would it make a difference if we did? >
"No it would not," he declared, rolling over to look at the TV screen. "What are we watching today?"
