Being the village’s sole healer meant that there was very little Grandpa Smurf didn’t smurf about his fellow Smurfs. He smurfed of Clumsy’s every incident, Greedy’s every overindulgence, or Sneezy’s every ups and downs, for example.
But sometimes he also learnt of things he needn’t smurf of, like that time when Grouchy and Pastrycook had smurfed up at his door on the same day with matching rashes and the same kind of mumbled, half-hearted explanations.
Papa Smurf hadn’t been smurfed, but he had dispensed salve and instructions without any questions. He was many things, but a nosy old Smurf, never!
