It was darker than she thought it would be when Audrey stepped outside of the medical building. She checked her watch. Nearly 7:00PM. She wouldn't admit that she'd purposely stayed longer at the outpatient clinic, that she'd been burying herself in work the last few days, trying to make up for the latest disaster

A figure in a long, ragged coat fell into step behind her. Face obscured by a hat with the brim pulled low, tall, probably thin from the way the coat flapped loosely around it - all made the person behind her impossible to identify at a quick glance.

At the sound of someone behind her, Audrey's shoulders tensed and she quickened her pace.

The steps behind her met her pace, confirming her fears - she was indeed being followed.

Audrey swallowed, now very alert. She reached into her coat pocket, intent on pulling out her cell phone.
