The first and formost being that westron, is NOT english. So she doesn't even speak the language. Then she encoutners things like using the outhouse, washing one's clothes in the river etc etc, and begins flipping out, while this ranger (no not Aragorn), who found her in her PJs in the middle of a high way is trying to figure out who the heck he's picked up. And of course they don't even speak the same language.
Sounds like your fic is trying to pull the same "real world" take on a sert fic. I might have to check it out.

The AN series was originally started by Joanie Rich some... years ago, dun remember how many. There are 4 others, each in a different Sonicverse. 1 was AostH, finished, 2 was SU, also finished, 3 was SatAM, not finished but not far from completion... 5 is Archie Knuckles I believe, but it's not very far in. 1 and 3 I recommend the most, 2 kind of defeats the purpose of the series... 5 doesn't have much in it, I wonder if Takato will finish it?
Mine is Sonic X, and this chapter puts it at halfway completed. Yar, I am trying to put as much realism as I can in it, and my own brand of humour. I dunno if you'd enjoy it, (I hope so) but I'd welcome your feedback :O
