Wow. I never thought of bluejays as pretty before, but he's snazzy. All the pics are snazzy at that.

The subspecies of Bluejays down in the south have a very vibrant blue coloration - esp. compared to the northern one.

Ahh that makes sense. The ones I remember are from NY, and they were more of a slate grey color...
I'll keep my eyes out for ones around here.

And the scrub jays out west are just ugly by comparison.
Although that one looks pretty trim. Might be newly hatched this spring.
But they're just as crabby and annoying as any other corvid.

My old 350XT Digital Rebel and a zoom 70 to 300mm telephoto lens. It also doubles as a decent macro-lens.
