Of Gas Prices and Unicorns

This morning the local price for unleaded was $2.11. A mere month ago, it was hovering around the $4.19 - so the price has fallen by over 50% and will likely go below the two dollar mark in the next couple weeks. Sub two dollars for gas?! Gas this morning in Cincinnati, Ohio is $1.99 to 1.94. I had to do a double take!

It has been a truly topsy-turvy year when it comes to gas prices. Who knows what is in store next year.

We haven't gotten quite that low yet but even the most stubborn of the high priced stations have been lowering their prices lately. I've seen as low as $2.63, I believe. I hope it is a continuing trend. I use gas to heat my home but a lot of friends use oil and I really hope they catch a break. Last winter the prices were brutal.

Yep! Here in Chicago, I was paying $4.59 a gallon a month ago. Yesterday I saw it the cheapest at $2.59.
