Declan has just finished wrapping the last of the gifts he had picked up while he was out shopping with Ashley, and is making his way down the stairs to lay them out beneath Druitt's tree. He still hasn't met many of the other new residents yet, but he's sure he will eventually. Laying the packages down, he rises and turns to walk away. That's when

Ashley jogs down the stairs with her presents towering high in her arms. Crossing over to the tree she adds the various coloured boxes to the mountain that was already under the tree. Once the last box was moved from her vision, she noticed Declan standing there.

"Hi," she beams brightly, "You adding your presents to the . . . mountain?"

He nods, motioning to the pile of hastily-wrapped gifts, "I did. Not as tidy as your wrapping, but they're there. Need help, love?"

"Yeh, Brit OCD instilled in me," Ashley commented lightly as she set them down easily, if haphazardly.

"There we go."

Declan is ready to bend down to catch a present, should it start to fall away from the tower in her arms, otherwise he waits for her request, watching her with a bemused smile on his face. Her look of concentration alone, as she tries not to let one topple from the top, is adorable.

"Well, I am a lad. I'm allowed to fail a little bit at things like this, aren't I?" he laughs, extending a hand to help her up.
