On his way home from another long stroll in the hot jungle, Ben hears hammering. He follows the sound and sees Juliet busy at work on her old house. Still hurt from her earlier words, Ben turns to leave her to her work. However, as he turns he notices the wooden porch roof wobbling dangerously above her.

He dashes forward, grabbing a beam laying on the ground nearby.

It doesn't quite register with her as to WHY he's doing that, however.

Stop? Why? What are you doing?

The damned roof is liable to fall down with you hammering away like that! It's been weakened in the fire and now you are making it worse.

No more hammering until the roof is taken care of.

Perplexed, Juliet looks up at the roof. He's right. It's entirely unstable, and she didn't even THINK to check beforehand. She swears and brushes off her hands, stepping off the porch and tugging Ben's arm as well, so he follows her off.

She peers at it, huffing with frustration at herself.

Dammit. I should have checked that first.
