Authors Note: Survived another week! Took second place, but happy with that. This was a tough one this week, literally written last minute. The title means "A Life of Happiness Fleeting" (or at least its supposed to).

I'm sorry I was away (and net less) this weekend cos I wish I could have voted for this. It's beautiful and hon it's very well written too.

As for pretentious, well no, not at all. I mean the title in French actually suits this story, fits with it perfectly. So that person was way off.

And yeah, sorry my email back about the French phrase was (I now realise) days too late!

That's a lovely piece with some beautiful prose, you really managed to get into his angsty mindset. Or maybe I'm just amazed because I'm gong to Paris tomorrow and as far as I know this is the only TW fic set in France. :)

It's "une vie de bonheur fugace". You forgot the 'e'^^

I have to admit it's pretty good!
So you never learnt french at all? Not even in school?

Nope, I took Spanish in school. That title was the result of first using a online translation program, and then picking the brain of a younger friend who IS taking french in school.
