An FYI about pendulum scrying to sex a babylastwordy_mcgeeJuly 28 2006, 16:52:18 UTC
It's more traditionally done with a personal object from the pregnant woman (usually a ring), and it's done over the belly, not the palm. Palm scrying is more for basic decisions.
At least, that's my family always did it. And they were pretty darn accurate :)
Story is going well. But it does remind me of why Susan was often my least favorite character, LOL.

oh well. I checked out some old wives tales on the web and they did have one using a the womans wedding ring and since Steve and Susan aren't married and I don't think susan wears an ingagment ring I couldn't use that one.
But the website also said there was a method with a needle held over the womans palm so...
Thanks for your comment tho and why was Susan your least favourite??

Her personality and manipulative nature bother me. She's the kind of girl I would always warn my guy friends away from, if they got involved with someone like that. Sally wears her neursoses on her sleeve, which gives her a kind of inherent honesty when it comes to relationships (even though I am sure she thinks she is a master player). Jane's particular brand of crazy does the same. But Susan seems to revel in her ability to totally f*ck with Steve, especially as a means to an end. Her own end, usually. I find her to be a very emasculating woman
( ... )
Just a nitpick that hit me straight away. Watering hole, not watering whole.
And perhaps, let Jane offer more than one piece of madness before the girls look at her, because what she wants is attention so she has to fight hard to get it when it's so obviously all going on Susan. What I mean to say is, the girls would probably ignore her "Yes I find that often makes me late, as well," rather than look at her crossways. Save the Look for the comment on Steve's immobole hair.
Kudos!!! For her comment on Steve's hair being genetic! Very mad and vaguely insulting to the man that left her for Susan! Well done! ;-)
And much love for Steve in with Susan at the scan, his nerves and her annoyance.
And, just to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong, (i.e. your chat with lastwordy_mcgee), in the Series 3 opener, Split Susan definitely has an engagement ring on her finger. After that, though, I'm not sure, but she definitely has one in her possession.

Oh well I wasn't entirly sure if she had one as nothing really is made of their engagement in the series.

Oh I just had to get that in after Steven Moffat pointed it out in the commentary. And he's right you do become rivited by it when you notice Jacks hair doesn't move!!! lol
Thanks for the advice on Jane =) I'll keep that in mind when/if I write Coupling fic again

Oh Steve just had to be their, it was to cute of an oppitunity to pass up
Oh and thanks for pointing out the watering whole, hole thing. Will change that =)
I'll keep that in mind when/if I write Coupling fic again Whadya mean "when/if"?!? You wouldn't leave us hanging on this one after only two acts would you? This is one of the best Coupling fics I've ever read! Keep going with this, please? (!)

No in meant once I've finished this one. I really just have one more chapter to write and I think that'll be it on this one.
Although I have already written the end part of another Coupling fic idea that I have.
This is one of the best Coupling fics I've ever read!
Thanks =) means a lot.
