When it comes to surgical cases and deciding how to run my OR, yes. Absolutely, I am. I don't think that it's unreasonable to want to sedate a patient that has to undergo surgery. A general is much more efficient than a local. It's also easier for the anesthesiologist to manage in case of complications. How do I know this? Maybe by being an
