Rachel sighs and leans back as well. "I know. But, on the other hand, they've declared us self-governing." Her eyes darken for a moment. "Let them just try to take me away from my home. They think Radek's dangerous? Hmph. But truly. They can't hold us to one thing and let us go with another. We're either self-governing, or we're still under their thumb. One or the other, and I vote for the former. We have to think about the future here, Carson, and that means long-term. After all, the threat of all sorts of enemies haven't stopped the Athosians from having families generation after generation, with no ZedPMs ( ... )

Rachel's stunned when he finishes. He'd actually say yes? He'd help her? Gods, she'd actually have a *chance*? it takes her a few moments to respond.

"To not only have a child, but to conceive it in Prague? I know for a fact Radek would agree to that. Honestly, I think Rodney might be the only one who wouldn't agree. But it's hard to say. Radek and I also haven't planned to go visit for another few months, at least..."

She looked up at him and nodded. "I agree. I'll speak to the others seperately, then let you know. I... Thank you, Carson. A chance is more than I'd truly hoped for this soon. Thank you." Putting down her mug, she went to sit in his lap and put her arms around him. Carson kissed her sweetly, gently, holding her close. One hand gently caressed her belly for a second.

"Bloody spoiled it would be, ye know." She giggled softly, relaxing in his warm embrace.
