His quarters were empty right now. Though he had stopped by to go over the daily reports before making his painful way to the turbolift again. If Boyce checks with the computer, she'll tell him that he's on his way to the bridge.

Once there, he has words with Spock about his health, saying he wasn't there to take over the conn, just to get out of sickbay. Spock will probably notify medical anyway but Pike is just grateful to have a change of scenery...and to be on the bridge again. He leans against the back wall, watching the starfield and keeping his arms crossed...mostly to keep his ribs from feeling like they were going to fall out.

Boyce arrives on the bridge a few minutes later. As he steps out of the lift, he sees the captain present and still standing. The doctor immediately makes note of his posture and steps closer, medical scanner out and ready.

Pike has two expressions flicker over his face. One is realizing he's been found. The second one says go away Boyce. But he doesn't move away from the wall he's leaning against. Mostly so he won't show he's in pain.

The expression on Phil's face never wavers. The doctor is angry. Not trusting himself with words and not wanting to make a scene on the bridge in front of the crew, he holds his tongue. After a long moment, he stows the scanner.
