My dear Amara,
Once upon a time, there were three young cadets. The first, thinking he could scrape by with the least amount of work, got out exactly what he put in. Nothing. The second, recognizing the dangers of his chosen profession, decided to end the journey before it ever had a chance to begin. He let fear control his decisions. The third, seeing her dream come to life, grabbed hold of the opportunity with both hands and never let go. Even when trials knocked on her door and difficulties threatened to topple her house, she persisted. With patience, hard work, and time, she built something worthwhile and lasting while others around her foolishly played.
I have never been more proud of you than I am today.
Congratulations, my dear. A wondrous adventure awaits.
Don't think for a moment you're going to escape the inevitable. I have the Orion dancers all lined up. A copious supply of Romulan Ale is at my fingertips. And there will be enough cigars to go around the whole night. I'll be sure to tell every embarrassing tale I can remember. You have but to tell me when and where. No is not an option. The list of guests has already been assembled. For a nominal fee, I'll even promise not to divulge the evening's events to your lovely fiance.
On second thought, no Romulan Ale. I'd hate to see you arrested on the night before your wedding. She'd have both our hides.
