Another geek post, but on all the forums and everywhere "google" I really never found help for this one! I did, however solve it, and have been advised to post the results! Have you ever had the problem where windows has decided suddenly that your ide drives are scsi? your perfectly ordinary DVD burner is now a scsi device for no obvious reason. ( Read more... )

No problem, I had so much trouble finding out what to do, that when I worked it out, I had to put it out there for others!
Actually I've since found another similar one to make some media players appear as flash drives post SP3.
Seems windows are trying to emulate Itunes and use media slayer to load some of these devices. Getting rid of other pesky .inf files solves this too!!!
